This object satisfies a broad range of interests: 16th century ornaments, stone-etching, black-letter typography, and German culture from the Late Baroque era. This is a marvel of calligraphic stone-etching that I never thought I’d be able to afford, so I gladly paid the $387 for it. The craftsmanship puts most of my earlier purchases to shame. It compares favorably with the best ornament designs of the time, seen in books and in architecture. This set a benchmark for quality and rarity per dollar that will be very hard to beat.
